Shakib Khan’s new production to star Puja Chery once again

Puja Chery got her first opportunity to star opposite megastar Shakib Khan in "Golui", which was released last Eid. Widely discussed, the film was also quite a commercial success. The reception from the audience was also great, and Puja caught the eyes of the fans.

Based on this success, Puja Chery will be seen acting opposite Shakib Khan once again. "Maya", a production of Shakib Khan's own production house, SK Films, will star Puja Chery. In this film, which Khan is producing himself, he decided to give an opportunity to Chery.

In the financial year 2021–22, the film "Maya" (placeholder name) received a government grant of BDT 65 lakh. According to currently available information, the film will be directed by Himel Ashraf, while both story and screenplay is by Ferari Farhad. Sources have also noted that the name "Maya" might change before the shooting of the film begins.

Shakib Khan, who is currently staying in the USA, said the upcoming film would be larger than life and that he will have a much higher budget than what was provided by the grant. 

The noted actor said, "The VFX and CG work in this movie will be world-class. After watching foreign productions, we always thought why we couldn't achieve similar levels of quality. 'Maya' will try to be that film which has a lot of background and planning. To tell the story properly, I do not want to put any restrictions in terms of the budget for the movie. 'Maya' is likely to complete shooting by the end of this year." 

Khan also noted that the government grants were an admirable effort from the government to support movies. Apart from"Maya", Shakib Khan is also working on another film titled "Rajkumar", which is also from his own production house.
