Bangladeshi rescue team reaches Turkey

The 46-member rescue team from Bangladesh has reached Turkey to join the search and rescue operations in the aftermath of Monday's earthquake there.

A press release sent this morning by Fire Service and Civil Defence, the team reached Adana Airport after leaving Bangladesh on Wednesday night. From there, the 46-member team were heading by bus to Adiyaman, around 350km away.

The team includes 24 members from the Bangladesh Army, 10 medical professionals, and 12 fire service personnel.

Lt Col Md Ruhul Amin, PSC, of the Bangladesh Army, is leading the rescue crew, according to a press release sent by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) earlier.
