Sylhet fuel traders call indefinite strike from Jan 18

Protesting poor supply of fuel, Sylhet's fuel traders decided to go on an indefinite strike from Wednesday.

The Sylhet divisional committee of Bangladesh Petroleum Dealers, Distributors, Agents, and Owners Association made announced after an emergency meeting today.

According to the organisation's decision, traders will cease purchasing fuel from depots on Wednesday and selling to consumers from January 22.

"The Sylhet oil traders have no choice but to protest," speakers in the meeting said mentioning that the short supply has been going on for a long time.
