There is a possibility of intermittent rain in the next 24 hours across the country including Dhaka, Meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallik of the Meteorological Department said today.

While talking to The Daily Star today (October 2, 2022), Abul Kalam said, "Two millimetres of rain was recorded in the capital till 6am today."

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area has developed over north Bay and adjoining central Bay of Bengal.

As monsoon is active over Bangladesh, it is raining intermittently across the country, he said.

He also said that in the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate or heavy rains at some places of the country.

There may be gusty winds or thunderstorms with rain.

"Inland river ports have been advised to keep hoisted warning signal number 1. However, there is no warning signal for the seaports as of now," he added.
