Moderate to thick fog may occur from midnight: BMD

Moderate to thick fog may occur in the country from midnight to tomorrow morning, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today.

"Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to tomorrow morning and it may continue till noon," said a BMD bulletin.

Mild cold wave is also sweeping over Rajshahi division and over Faridpur, Madaripur, Kishoregonj, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Jashore, Chuadanga, Kushtia, Satkhira and Barishal and it may abate from some places, it said.

Night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

As the difference of temperatures between day and night is limited, moderate to severe cold is likely to be felt across the country, the bulletin also said.

Country's maximum temperature yesterday was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius at Teknaf of Chattogram division, while the minimum temperature today was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga of Khulna division.

The sun will set at 5:26pm today and will rise at 6:43am tomorrow in the capital.
