Rainfall to likely increase in next 3 days

Rainfall or thunder showers may increase in the country in the next 72 hours, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said in a forecast today.

The 24-hour forecast issued at 9:00am said that the trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area and the seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

The rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, it added.
