No Covid-19 deaths for 21 straight days
Test positivity rate 0.53% in 24 hours
No Covid-19 deaths were reported for 21 consecutive days in Bangladesh, while 33 new cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8am today.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,127 and the mortality rate is 1.49 percent, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of cases rose to 19,52,888, added the release.
The current test positivity rate stands at 0.53 percent while the total positivity rate at 13.92 percent, said the press release.
A total of 6,182 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours till 8:00am today.
At least 249 patients recovered from Covid-19 during this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,98,312 and the recovery rate at 97.21 percent, added the release.
