Covid cases on the rise

The number of coronavirus cases rose to 1,685 yesterday, the highest in the last four months.

The infection rate was also on the rise, read a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services.

Almost 90 percent of the cases were recorded in Dhaka metropolitan area in the last 24 hours till 8:00am, read a DGHS press release.

The current positivity rate is 12.18 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.75 percent in those 24 hours.

A total of 13,833 samples were tested across the country during this period.

No death was reported during this time.

Earlier, on February 22, the daily count was 1,516.
