1 dies of dengue, 90 hospitalised

One dengue patient died while 90 more were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till 8am today (August 11, 2022), which is showing an alarming trend of rising dengue cases.

With the death in Dhaka, the number of deaths rose to 16, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the total deaths this year, six in Dhaka while 10 in Cox's Bazar.

With the 90 new cases, 17 from outside Dhaka, the total number of dengue patients rose to 3,498.

Among the patients, 364 are still undergoing treatment of which 74 from outside Dhaka.

A total of 3118 patients have been released from hospitals, 482 from outside Dhaka.
