380 more hospitalised with dengue

At least 380 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till yesterday morning.

With this, the total number of dengue cases rose to 57,738 this year.

Total number of deaths this year is 254, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the death cases, 155 are in Dhaka, 25 in Cox's Bazar, 33 in Chattogram, 11 in Barishal, eight in Khulna, six in Mymensingh, five in Rajshahi, two Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.

A total of 55,740 patients have already been released, of them 20,151 are from outside Dhaka.

Some 1,744 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment and of them, 763 are from outside Dhaka.
