Telenor Health launches app for dengue diagnosis at home

Tonic, an online healthcare service of Telenor Health, today launched its home service for diagnostic tests of dengue through their mobile application.

In light of the recent nationwide health crisis following dengue outbreak, Tonic has launched the service along with video conference for doctors' consultation through its mobile application "Tonic App", reads a release.

People from Dhaka and Chattogram metropolitans and Mymensingh city will be able to order dengue screening tests and get the entire test done from their homes without any kind of hassle with this service.

Thyrocare is the strategic partner in this test service with Tonic, according to the release.

Tonic said if anyone is suffering from dengue symptoms for five or fewer days, they may order dengue NS1 Antigen Test and CBC Test.

If the symptoms persist for more than five days, they may order Dengue Antibodies (IgM & IgG) Test and CBC Test, it said.

After placing order through Tonic App, Tonic's sample collector will visit and collect sample from the patients within 24 hours as per the customers' convenient time, location, and with all aseptic precautions.

After the test, patient can consult a registered experienced general physician over video call with Tonic App along with his/her report.

The live video allows the patient to have hassle free consultation from home any time without deteriorating his/her medical condition with excessive movement, the release added.
