India willing to return Nur Hossain

Home Secretary Mozammel Haque Khan today said India assured Bangladesh of handing over Nur Hossain, the prime accused of the Narayanganj seven murders, to Bangladesh authorities.
“Legal measures are being initiated for bringing Nur Hossain back home,” he said at a press briefing after the two-day 15th home secretary-level meeting this afternoon.  
While the authorities in Bangladesh have been urged to hand over Ulfa leader Anup Chetia to India, Khan added.
Anup Chetia has sought political asylum in Bangladesh and that has been provided with him, the home affairs secretary said.
“Now, India wants to get the Ulfa leader back. In response, we told them that we have no objection to do so,” said the home affairs secretary of Bangladesh.
About the prevailing border killings, he said: “We have expressed our dissatisfaction over the issue and urged the Indian Border Security Force authorities not to fire at Bangladeshi people when they cross the border.”
“We have urged the Indian authorities to hand over our people who cross the border to the members of the law enforcement agencies without shooting at them,” he added.
He said both the sides have agreed to ratify the Land Boundary Agreement in light with the Mujib-Indira treaty to put an end to the border killings.
