Durjoy Rahman, a familiar name in the Bangladesh art scene, has been recently featured in GQ India, the South Asian edition of the iconic men's fashion and lifestyle magazine.

In the write-up, Darius Sanai, Editor in Chief at Conde Nast speaks highly of Rahman who is the founder of the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation.

Rahman is also mentioned for his support for Sunil Gupta, Indian born Canadian photographer, whose works highlight the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community, and Kamruzzaman Shadhin, Director of Gidree Bawlee Art Foundation that works with the Rohingya refugee artists, among its many other projects.

GQ has remembered to mention various aspects of Rahman's contribution to both the art and the philanthropy scene in Bangladesh and beyond.
Speaking to GQ, Durjoy Rahman said, "Art from Global South has a long history but has not been able to come forward in the past, because it has not been organised, identified or supported the same way as western media and practices are organised. The Global South needs to work together to make art more visible and give it a push so that it gets the recognition that it deserves."

We believe Rahman has a long way to go and this prestigious acknowledgment is only an additional feather to his hat.
