Saudi govt accuses 5 more Bangladeshi hajj agencies of irregularities

The Saudi Arabian government has raised allegations of various irregularities against five more Bangladeshi hajj agencies.

Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah raised allegations of different anomalies including misconduct with the pilgrims and involvement in digital crime against six hajj agencies, sources at the religious affairs ministry of Bangladesh said.

The Saudi ministry on September 26, informed the Bangladesh hajj office in Saudi Arabia about allegations against the five hajj agencies, according to the religious affairs ministry.

In response to the allegations raised by the Saudi government, the religious affairs ministry has asked the respective hajj agencies to send their reply to the Saudi authorities.

The five hajj agencies are -- Al Hasan Tours and Travels, Sayed Hajj Tours and Travels, Subway Travels and Holiday, Sunflower Air Linkers and Arab Travels and Tours.

Common allegations against the hajj agencies are that they misconducted with the pilgrims, and sent hajis to Saudi Arabia late, according to the religious affairs ministry.
