1 killed, 2 hurt as three bikes collide

A motorcyclist was killed and two were injured as their bikes collided in Kalai upazila of Joypurhat yesterday.

Atiqur Rahman Sakib (30) died on the way to Kalai Upazila Health Complex. The injured -- Abdur Rauf (47) and Emon Hossain (20) -- were initially taken to the health complex from there they were transferred to Joypurhat hospital, said OC SM Moinuddin of Kalai Police Station.

Atiqur and Emon were going home on their motorcycles. The accident happened when they arrived near a turning point in Banait area and their bikes collided with another motorcycle driven by Rauf, he added.
