College student crushed under wheels of train in Uttara

A college student died after being crushed under the wheels of a train in Dhaka's Uttara area this morning.

The deceased was identified as Ahmed Sani Hanif, 18, a student of Habibullah Model School and College.

Hanif died on the spot when he was crushed under the wheels of a train around 5:00am in Azampur area, Ali Akbar, a sub-inspector of Dhaka Railway Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

At the morgue, victim's father Abul Bashar said Hanif, eldest among three siblings, met the tragic accident when he was going to nearby mosque for Fajr prayer after taking Sehri.
