Fire at launch in Sadarghat brought under control after 50 minutes

Firefighters brought the fire that broke out at a launch in Dhaka's Sadarghat area after around 50 minutes.

Five fire engines brought the blaze that originated at the Barishal-bound launch at Shyambazar Ghat under control around 1:45pm, said Talha Bin Jashim, an official of fire service's media cell.

The fire broke out on the second floor of the launch , MV Bangalee, around 12:55pm, and no passengers were on board at the time, he added .  

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
