Man killed, 3 injured in explosion in Dhaka’s Hazaribagh

A man was killed and three others were injured in an explosion at a courier service office in the capital's Hazaribagh area early today (September 26, 2022), police said.

The deceased was identified as Iliyas while the injured as Ashiq (45), Halim (28), and Marcel (36), said Muktaruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Hazaribagh Police Station.

The blast took place at a courier service office named Metro Express in Shajahan Sardar Road area adjacent to Hazaribagh Beribadh around 12:30am today, the OC said.

Initially, it was suspected that a drum containing chemical exploded. However, it is being investigated, the OC added.
