Motorcyclist killed after truck hits bike in Satkhira

A motorcyclist was killed after a truck hit his bike in Satkhira's Tala upazila today.

The victim, Ayub Ali, 55, was a resident of Laxmipur village in the upazila, reports a local correspondent quoting Tala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Chowdhury Rezaul Karim.

The accident occurred around 2:30pm in Madanpur area on the Satkhira-Khulna highway while Ayub was on his way to Satkhira.

The victim sustained critical injuries when the truck hit the bike, the OC said, adding that he died while he was being taken to a hospital.

The body was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for autopsy after preparing the inquest report, added the OC.
