Street children find body of man in pool of blood near Kakoli

Street children found a man lying in a pool of blood on the road near the capital's Kakoli area around 1:30am today. The man was declared dead by doctors around two hours later.

The children said he was hit by a bus, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost.

The deceased was identified as BDS Krishna, 40, a trader.

The children took him to DMCH where doctors declared him dead around 3:30am, the police official said.

The victim's nephew Nobojit Saha Santo said his uncle, hailing from Narayanganj, used to live in a rented house in Sector-12 in Uttara.

"We were informed about the accident by police and saw the body at the hospital morgue," he said.
