Another youth who removed nuts and bolts of Padma Bridge arrested

Counterterrorism officials arrested another youth, who was seen in a video removing nuts and bolts from the railing of Padma Bridge.

Police arrested Mahdi Hasan (27) from Ramganj upazila in Lakshmipur district, Asaduzzaman, chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of DMP, told a press briefing today (June 30, 2022).

In a 26-second video, he was seen removing and then putting back the nuts and bolts.

Earlier, Criminal Investigation Department arrested a youth, Bayezid Talha, who was seen removing nuts and bolts from the railing of the bridge in TikTok video.

Bayezid was put on a seven-day remand in a case filed with Padma Bridge North Police Station.
