Ayatullah Bushra, the prime accused in the case filed over the killing of Buet student Fardin Noor Parash, today submitted a petition to the sessions judge's court, seeking bail after the lower court's rejection order.

Judge Md Asaduzzaman of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court fixed January 5, 2023 for hearing the petition.

Earlier on November 16, Bushra who is a friend of the victim, was sent to jail after her bail plea was rejected following the completion of her five-day remand.

On November 10, a team of Rampura police arrested Bushra, a third-year student of East West University, from Banasree, two days after Fardin's father Kazi Nuruddin filed a first information report (FIR) against her.

The decomposed body of Fardin, a third-year student of Buet's civil engineering department was recovered from Shitalakhya river in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj on November 7, almost three days after he went missing.

According to the case statement, Fardin's friend Bushra and an unknown accused killed him and disposed of the body in the river. Bushra and Fardin knew each for the last four years.
