Female doctor found dead in Panthapath: Suspect arrested in Ctg

Rapid Action Battalion today (August 11) arrested the suspect in connection with the death of a female doctor in Dhaka's Panthapath from Chattogram.

ANM Imran Khan, assistant director of Rab's Legal and Media Wing, confirmed to The Daily Star the arrest of Md Rezaul Karim from the port city.

Police recovered the throat-slit body of Jannatul Nayeem Siddique (27) from a service apartment in Dhaka's Panthapath area last night.

Jannatul and Rezaul Karim had booked a room in Family Service Apartment.

She had recently completed MBBS from Dhaka Community Medical College and was doing a course at DMCH, police said.

"Her throat was slit and the body had stab marks," police also said after the recovery of her body.
