After Nahid, Morsalin injured in students-traders clash dies

Another person injured during the clashes between New Market traders and Dhaka College students on April 19, died early today.

The deceased was identified as Morsalin (27), worker of a shop in New Market, confirmed Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost.

He breathed his last around 4:36am while being treated at the intensive care unit of DMCH, the inspector added.

"Morsalin had sustained severe injury to his head and was in a critical state since beginning," Bachchu Mia also said.

Deceased's wife, Oni Akhter Mitu, said, "Morsalin used to work in a shop selling shirts in Dhaka New Supermarket. On the day of the incident, I received news that he had been injured and was being treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital."

"When we arrived at the hospital, we found him unconscious," Mitu added.

Following the clashes, another shop employee named Shakeel brought Morsalin to DMCH in critical condition.

Earlier, 18-year-old Nahid Hasan who used to work for a courier service company, died from the injuries received during the violent clashes.
