DMP commissioner directs to ensure maximum security during Durga Puja

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam today (September 21, 2022) ordered all units of the DMP to be on maximum alert so that the upcoming Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, can be celebrated in a safe and peaceful environment.

The DMP commissioner came up with the directives while addressing the crime review meeting for August at the DMP headquarters.

Saying that Ansar personnel will remain at the puja mandaps throughout the festival this year, he also ordered police to perform their responsibilities well during Durga Puja.

The DMP commissioner gave various directions to all concerned to maintain law and order and keep the crime situation under control.
