Hajj Registration: Deadline extended till Mar 30

The government yesterday extended the deadline for hajj registration until March 30 citing requests from the pilgrims.

The religious affairs ministry issued a notice in this regard.

The hajj registration will automatically stop once 1.27 lakh people register, it added.

A total of 15,000 people will be able to go to hajj under government management while 112,198 could go under private management this year.

Pilgrims who will perform hajj under the government management will have to pay Tk 6.71 lakh each this year.

Those who will go under private hajj management will have to pay Tk 6.60 lakh each.
