PM to visit Tungipara home tomorrow via Padma Bridge

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit her ancestral house at Tungipara of Gopalganj with her family members tomorrow by road crossing the Padma bridge.

The Tungipara visit would be her first, crossing Padma bridge since its inauguration, reports our local correspondent.

The premier inaugurated the Padma Bridge on June 25.

She will return to the capital tomorrow evening, a member of the PM's press wing told the Daily Star.

During her stay at Tungipara, Sheikh Hasina will pay tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths on his grave.

Blanket security measures have been taken in and around the graveyard of Bangabandhu at Tungipara and adjacent areas centring the arrival of the PM.
