Justice Gholam Rabbani no more

Justice Mohammad Gholam Rabbani, a retired judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, died yesterday at the age of 85.

He breathed his last at 12:45pm at a hospital in Dhaka, SC spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman told The Daily Star.

Justice Mohammad Gholam Rabbani left behind his wife, a son and a host of admirers to mourn his death.

Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique expressed deep shock at Rabbani's death and prayed for eternal peace for his departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Justice Gholam Rabbani was appointed as a High Court judge on February 18, 1992 and was elevated as judge of the Appellate Division on January 11, 2001. He retired on January 10, 2002.
