Nooruddin Mahmud passes away

Nooruddin Mahmud Kamal, a freedom fighter and former chairman of PDB, passed away on Saturday. He was 82, said a press release.

He breathed his last at 9:20pm at Square Hospitals in the capital.

He left behind a son and a daughter, and numerous relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Nooruddin used to write columns in The Daily Star on various issues.
