Padma Bridge: Over Tk 2cr toll collected in first 24 hours

A total of 51,316 vehicles crossed the Padma Bridge in the first 24 hours after the bridge was opened to public (till 6am today) (June 27, 2022).

A total of Tk 20,940,300 toll was collected from vehicles on Padma Bridge, an official of Bangladesh Bridge Authority told The Daily Star.

Authorities collected Tk 10,895,900 from 26,589 vehicles which crossed the Mawa toll plaza in 24 hours after the bridge was opened to traffic. 

Another 24,727 vehicles crossed the Janjira toll plaza in this time, from which authorities collected Tk 10,044,400.

The country's longest bridge was opened for vehicular movement at 6:00am yesterday.
