BNP capitalising on global crisis

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday said BNP is spreading lies to capitalise on the global fuel, power and economic crisis, aiming to gain political interest.

Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, made the remark while attending a discussion marking the 76th birth anniversary of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Krishibid Institute Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium.

Awami Juba League arranged the discussion.

Referring to the existing global crisis resulting from the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, he said, "The crisis is not only in Bangladesh but also in the entire world. BNP is trying to gain political advantage capitalising on the global fuel, power and economic crisis."
