BNP leaders and activists from different districts have started gathering in colourful attire at Abdul Aziz Institution ground in Faridpur's Kamarpur area as the party's divisional mass rally is scheduled to begin at 11:00am today.

While visiting the venue around 8:00am, our Faridpur correspondent found that the leaders and activists, who went to Faridpur two to three days back and were staying near the venue, have started to take position near the stage.

The leaders and activists were wearing T-shirts and caps with the pictures of party leaders and were seen chanting slogans.

All the preparation for today's rally has already been completed.

Md Imrul Hasan, who rushed to the venue from Pangsha upazila of Rajbari, he said he along with his group went there with former general secretary of district BNP unit Harun-ar-Rashid.

He said Harun gave each member of the group yellow T-shirts and orange hats for taking part in the rally.

They took position near the stage around 7:00am fearing that he and his team would not get a proper place to sit after that.

Sayeed Hasan Sihab, who came from Shibchar upazila of Madaripur, said, "A team of 50 have been staying at the ground for the last two days. Today, we took position near the venue as the rally is about to start."

Faridpur district BNP Convener Syed Modarres Ali said, "All are set for our rally. Have to wait a few more hours. By that time, Abdul Aziz Institution ground will be turned into a sea of people."
