New BCL committee likely before December 24: Quader

Bangladesh Chhatra League's new committee will be formed following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's directives, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

He made the announcement after the PM concluded her speech at the 30th conference of BCL at Suhrawardy Udyan this afternoon, reports our Dhaka University correspondent.

"Chhatra League candidates will submit their nominations to our leader Sheikh Hasina. I hope that before the National Council of Awami League on December 24, the CVs of the candidates will be verified and the committees will be announced at the direction of the PM," he added.

The top two posts of central committee will be announced on December 24, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today.

After the conference, Quader said the work of proposing the names of candidates for BCL central committee will be finalised this afternoon at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.
