Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said, "Seventy-one mobile phones have been stolen from BNP's Cumilla rally. There have been 71 cases for this. It's BNP against BNP. They stole those just the way they steal votes."

"We will show what a mega rally is in Chattogram," he said, addressing the triennial conference of Mymensingh District AL held at the District Circuit House ground this afternoon.

"Tarique Rahman spoke to a cadre in Dhaka yesterday. Maybe you've heard about it. He is instructing them not to leave the street. He also said -- 'Hasina is looking for a way to escape. Her ministers are looking for a way out... Dhaka will be in our possession'," said Quader.

"They are gathering in Nayapaltan before the December 10 rally. They also brought pots and pans, sleeping cushions, and mosquito coils with them. How did you get money for those?" Quader asked, pointing at BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Calling on the AL leaders and activists to be ready, Quader said, "Let's see how long they (BNP) can stay on the streets. The streets may belong to them, but the highways belong to us. We didn't fall from the sky. We belong to the people. So don't scare us."
