AL rally in Savar results in 2km tailback on Dhaka-Aricha highway

Awami League's rally in Savar has resulted in a two-kilometre tailback on the Dhaka-Aricha highway around Radio Colony area.

AL leaders and activists brought out processions from this morning on their way to join the rally which was organised protesting the "conspiracy and propaganda of BNP-Jamaat".

The tailback was continuing till filing of this report around 5:00pm.

"I didn't want to get out today. But I had to start for Hemayetpur with passengers from Chandra this afternoon. Now I have been stuck in one spot for 30 minutes," said Md Omar, driver of Itihas Paribahan.

The rally which started at 2:00pm was organised by Dhaka district unit of Awami League.
