Bridges div forms committee to coordinate Padma Bridge inauguration

The Bridges Division has formed a 14-member "main committee" for the overall coordination of the inauguration ceremony of Padma Bridge on June 25.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will act as an advisor to the committee, reads a circular of the division issued yesterday (June 5, 2022).

Bridges Secretary Monjur Hossain will work as its convenor and joint secretary (administration) of the division as member secretary.

The committee will coordinate all the sub-committees and will give necessary directives to arrange the inauguration ceremony properly, according to the circular.

Earlier, over a dozen sub-committees were formed to arrange the ceremony to open the long-cherished bridge by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on June 25.
