Dense fog: Ferry services resume on Paturia-Daulatdia, Aricha-Kazirhat

Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed at 8:30 am after remaining suspended for three hours due to dense fog.

On the other hand, ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat waterway resumed at 8:15 am after remaining closed for two hours.

Shah Md Khaled Newaz, deputy general manager of Aricha regional office of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), said ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat waterways were suspended from 5:00 am and 6:15 am to avoid accidents on the waterway, reports our Manikganj correspondent.

Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat waterways resumed at 8:30 am and 8:15 am, respectively, said the BIWTC official.

Although the ferry service was closed due to fog, there is no waiting car at any of the ends of the waterway, Newaz added.
