Paturia-Daulatdia, Aricha-Kazirhat ferry services resume after 10.5hrs

Poor visibility caused by dense fog disrupted ferry movements on Paturia-Daulatdia route for about 10 hours and on Aricha-Kazirhat route for about 11 hours.

Ferry services between Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat routes resumed this morning at 9:00am and 9:10am respectively, reports our Manikganj correspondent quoting Shah Md Khaled Newaz, deputy general manager of Aricha regional office of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation.

"In order to prevent accidents on the waterway, ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route were suspended from 10:30 pm and Aricha-Kazirhat waterway from 9:30 pm last night," he said.
