2 US diplomats due tomorrow

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman and US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal will arrive in Dhaka tomorrow to attend a dialogue with high government officials.

Under Secretary Sherman will lead a US delegation to the two-day fourth annual US-Bangladesh Partnership Dialogue beginning tomorrow.

Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque will lead the Bangladesh delegation, which will be comprised by the representatives from the ministries and divisions of foreign, commerce, energy, home, food and disaster management, economic relations and armed forces.

The partnership dialogue is the premier forum for further expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation on the full range of our bilateral and regional activities, including development and governance, trade and investment, and security cooperation.

Under Secretary Sherman and Assistant Secretary Biswal will also meet with senior government officials and civil society leaders.
