No space for rowdy men in BCL: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today categorically said Bangladesh Chhatra League does not feel any need of those involved in various heinous activities like Buet student Abrar murder.

“There is no space in Chhatra League politics for those involved in the murder of [Buet student] Abrar and assaulting a principal of a college in Rajshahi,” he said.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, came up with the reshipment while speaking at the 72nd founding anniversary of BCL, student wing of Awami League, at Suhrawardi Udyan in Dhaka this afternoon.

Terming the Bangabandhu family an idol, Quader said honesty and courage were the pillars of success of father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Sheikh Hasina, following the footsteps of her father heading forwards to ensure peace, progress and development of the country, Quader said.

“Chhatra League can follow the Bangabandhu’s family members who are being appreciated globally in various fields including education and leadership,” he said.   

Quader, also a former president of the ruling party’s student wing, urged the incumbent leaders and activists to restore its lost reputation.
