Charitable Dental Clinic has launched in Raipura, Narsingdi

Today, a charitable dental clinic, "Ummulqura Health Center, Dental Unit'' has launched in Raipura, Narsingdi to provide quality oral health care for the underprivileged community. Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Dhaka, His Excellency Mr Güner Ureya, inaugurated as Chief Guest.

Ambassador H.E. Mr Güner Ureya said, "this health facility will serve you as the first point of contact with health services, but also will provide all primary health services for the people of this Upazila.  In a short time, you will show the positive results of this initiative."

Consultant of My Dentist & Consultant, Dr Osama Bin Noor said, "around half, a million people live in Raipura Upazila, but there are only a few dental offices available to serve this large community. This dental clinic will be creating awareness among the local community about oral health and provide free/low-cost treatment like restoration, root canal treatment, scaling, tooth extractions, minor surgery, child care, etc for low socio-economic people. I would like to thank Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. for helping us to establish this clinic through sponsorship."

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Raipura, Md Azgor Hossain said, "I am glad that in such a remote area where civic amenities cannot be provided, such a state-of-the-art health centre will play an important role in the healthcare of the people of this region."

Satyajit Kumar Ghose, ASP, Raipura Circle, Narsingdi said, "Although Narsingdi is an area close to Dhaka, quality medical services have not yet reached its target. This health centre will contribute to the health services of the students and teachers of this institution as well as the health services of the surrounding areas."

Co-founder of Mission Save Bangladesh, Mr Imran Kadir said, "It is often seen that people residing in rural Bangladesh are deprived of obtaining quality healthcare. We have joined this project to address this very problem. We are hopeful that this initiative of ours will give the rural population access to proper healthcare and result in holistic wellness and an enhanced quality of life."

Distinguished guests from government officials, local government leaders and community leaders joined this program. This dental clinic will be jointly managed by My Dentist & Consultant and Mission Save Bangladesh. Every Friday, specialised doctors from Dhaka will visit to provide oral health care.
