Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has handed over its full fledged investigation report on Narayanganj seven-murder to the attorney general’s office for placing it to the High Court.
Deputy Attorney General ASM Nazmul Haque today confirmed The Daily Star of receiving the report on November 23.
The report will be submitted to the HC bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Gobinda Chanra Tagore on December 10.
He declined to disclose any content of the report, saying that it is a sub judice matter.
On June 4, the HC bench directed the seven member probe committee, inspector general of police, Rab and CID to submit their report on the progress of their investigation into the deadly incident of Narayanganj before it on July 9.
On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam and his four associates, and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver were abducted and killed allegedly by some Rab-11 personnel. Their bodies were later found floating in the Shitalakkhya river.
Three sacked Rab officials -- Lt Col Tareque Sayeed Mohammad, Maj Arif Hossain and Lt Commander SM Masud Rana -- are in police custody in connection with the seven-murder case.
