Editorial

I travelled to a beautiful place last week, and the last time I travelled before this was in March. I remember both vacations clearly, but if you asked me details about the months in between, there wouldn't be much I would be able to say.

It's not like nothing happened during this time. In fact, a lot happened. But in terms of retaining detailed memories, I have recently noticed that I come up blank. This loss of memory could be attributed to mental health problems such as depression, or to think of it in easier terms, life in the city has been so miserable that I'd rather not think of it unless I'm experiencing it live. Being locked up at home has been the sprinkling of manure that this faecal reality needed as well.

But being stuck in this situation is no good, and everyone who feels similarly needs to find a way out. Travelling is one way to realign one's mental state, but of course, not everyone can do that. It's important that we give ourselves the opportunity to feel better before jumping into regular life once again, let's hope all of us can do that.
