Life Is Fun Science Fair 2019: A programme by Agami Education Foundation

"Life Is Fun Science Fair 2019" was held for the second time, as part of the "Life Is Fun" science education programme by Agami Education Foundation (AEF).

Life Is Fun (LIF) is a programme under the umbrella of Agami Education Foundation, which targets teaching science education for the primary level children in a semi-formal manner. This project was started back in 2013 with the motivation to stimulate their interest in science. At present, underprivileged students at different primary levels of eight different schools are being taught different topics on science with the help of LIF programme.

Keeping the same arrangements as previous year, "Life Is Fun Science Fair 2019" was organised as a daylong event at Bangladesh Mohila Samity premises on October 5, 2019. Apart from the executive members of AEF, Munir Hassan, Secretary, Bangladesh Math Olympiad committee; Fahima Ghias, former Science teacher of Holy Cross Girls' High School; and Engr. Fahima Shahadat, Bangladesh Country Representative, Menard Group were present as special guests to make the event more joyful.

This year, six schools participated in the fair. Students from class three, four and five from Shohag Shwapnodhara School, Nandipara PSD School, Alok Shikkhaloy, Bangladesh Mohila Samity School, and Peyarabag PSD school displayed their science projects. There were science projects displayed, for example, vacuum cleaner, producing electricity from footpath, biogas plant, water purifier etc. Students displayed their projects all day long. A day-long booth was presented by Toitomboor, a leading children magazine publisher that showcased publications for children.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at 5 pm. The winners received their prizes from Architect Hasnain Sabih Nayak, Co-founder, Toitomboor. Moreover, all the participating junior scientists were provided with gifts and certificates to encourage their participation.
