Editorial

Families do not break. The process of breaking something implies that it is thereafter incomplete. I don't think that's ever the case, really. Families exist with joy and despair, and then when someone leaves, the ones who are still together carry on, for better or for worse. That is what our cover story is about this week, and that is also what's happening to us in SHOUT right now.

Our overlord and master-at-keyboard, Kazi Akib Bin Asad, is leaving his post after 8 long years. The gaping hole he leaves in this team will be filled for sure, but it will be difficult for the person stepping into his shoes. What happens now, no one knows, but we carry on and do our best, because weeks roll around and Thursdays come by, and our eight-pages of youthful exuberance must find itself published.

The team we had here at SHOUT separates, but what remains is a truckload of lessons learned, and a change in the wind. It's sad, it's different, it's new. Stay tuned because it should also be exciting.
