Farooki to be jury member at London's East End Film Festival

Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has been named as part of the jury at London's East End Film Festival to be held from June 23 to July 3. He will join writer and producer Kaleem Aftab in deciding the Best Feature Award at the festival's 15th edition. Hellboy star Ron Perlman and "Suffragette" director Sarah Gavron will also share the panel. Director Tolga Karaçelik, who won at last year's festival, returns as the jury chair.

The East End Film Festival, one of the UK's biggest film festivals, takes place in various venues across East London. This festival annually showcases new talent and local films alongside larger independent releases, informing and inspiring a new generation of filmmakers and audiences. Farooki, grateful for the honour, expressed his regret that he cannot physically attend as he has been busy with the post production of "Doob." However, he is excited to carry out his jury duties online and hopes his co-jurors would excuse his absence.
