Bangladesh pacers Shoriful Islam and Ebadot Hossain found their mark in the first hour of the one-off Test against Ireland, bagging a wicket each before drinks were called.

Shoriful found a good fuller length outside the off stump to right-handers from the very beginning and troubled the Irish openers. In the fifth over, Shoriful got one to tail in to off-stump and rapped Murray Cummins (5) on the pads to get the leg-before decision.

Other opener James McCollum hung his bat to a Ebadot Hossain delivery that bounced a little extra and went to second slip with Najmul Hossain taking the catch at second slip to depart for 15.

Khaled Ahmed however was not very impressive in the first hour, drifting down the leg-side on a few occasions while operating with four slips.

After 13 overs, Ireland were 29 for 2.
