Bangladesh lead by 122 runs with seven wickets in hand going into the final day of the first Test against New Zealand at Basin Reserve, Wellington today.

The Bangladesh cricket team started the fourth day of the first Test against New Zealand 303 runs ahead in the first innings.

Play was delayed by 10 minutes after a rainy morning, which meant that both teams took the field without much opportunity to warm up.

Tom Latham, batting on 119, stepped out to continue his innings with Henry Nicholls for company as New Zealand resumed their first innings on 292 for three in response to Bangladesh's first innings score of 295 for eight declared.

Pacer Kamrul Islam was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh on the third day with the wickets of Jeet Raval and Ross Taylor. Debutant pacer Taskin Ahmed claimed the prized scalp of Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson.
