Chittagong Abahani signed off from their Bangladesh Premier League campaign on a high as the port-city side came from behind against Bangladesh Police FC to win 3-2 at the  Shaheed Dhirendhranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla today.

Kouakou Christian of Ivory Coast gave Police a 10-minute lead before Nigerian Ebimobowei Thankgod levelled the margin in the 29th minute for Abahani, who did not look back ever since.

Nigerian forward Candy Augustin put Chittagong Abahani ahead four minutes into the second half before Thankgod struck his league's 20th goal to widen the margin for fifth-finisher Ctg Abahani in the 61st minute.

Afghanistan striker Amiruddin Sharifi reduced the margin for Police in the 78th minute but could not avert their eighth defeat, leaving them to finish seventh among 12 teams.

However, Mohammedan Sporting Club and Sheikh Russel KC have an opportunity to topple Ctg Abahani if they can beat Rahmatganj MFS and Swadhinata KSC, respectively, in Tuesday's encounters.
