Kazi Salahuddin elected for a third term into BFF presidency

Kazi Salahuddin has been re-elected as Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president for a third consecutive term in the BFF executive committee elections being held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka on April 30, 2016.

Out of a possible 134 votes, Salahuddin -- who has served in the post for two terms between 2008 and 2016 -- got 83 votes while his competitor Kamrul Ashraf Khan Poton received 50 votes. One vote among the 134 delegates was cancelled.

Meanwhile, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Badal Roy, Mohiuddin Mohi and Tabith Awal have been elected as vice-presidents. Nabil got highest 92 votes while Roy got 73, Mohi 72 and Tabith 63 votes. While Tabith contested as an independent candidate this time around, all the other three had contested from the the combined panel led by Salahuddin. The combined-panel's fourth candidate Shamsul Haque Chowdhury missed out after getting 58 votes.
